Helios
Named after the Greek god and personification of the Sun, Helios strive to shed light across the most uncharted areas of the world. Using electromechanical techniques and bespoke software development to help customers reach their goals, no matter how remote or challenging.
The Mission
Tasked to retrieve a fuel cell lost on a floating, uncharted ice shelf with no human presence possible due to its remoteness, dangerous contamination levels and the harsh enviromental conditions. Working to a series of requirements whilst demonstrating requested system and performance capabilities. The iceberg will have uneven terrain, ramps, cave systems, and crevasses to be navigated. The fuel cell has superheated, causing it to sink into the ice floor, and after being retrieved will need to be stabilised using a remote panel. Additionally, reports of unusual wildlife will also be investigated if discovered.
Helios E-Portfolio Use
The Helios E-portfolio is designed to be simple and logical to navigate. Each page is accessible at any point using the high level menu bar. Additionally there will be hyperlinks throughout the text linking to a more developmental, Wordpress hosted e-portfolio and Github repository. Often further information links will be available at the foot of the page, providing further relevant detail if required. Finally, there is a useful links page at the end of the portfolio featuring all GitHub links including the project documents page.
